We first spotted Tom Leighton's clever photo collages two years ago at the London Art Fair. Your initial thought walking past might be that he takes a good photograph but almost instantly even the least travelled amongst us will spot that something's not quite right. The Cathedrale Notre-Dame doesn't sit at the end of Piazza San Marco in Venice, nor does it share a skyline with the Flatiron building or the Burj Khalifa.
Despite this rearrangement no seams may be found in Leighton's works and if we didn't know any better we'd be completely fooled by his brilliant collages.
This exhibition will present some of his latest works and we're itching to see what clever compositions he's come up with.
Tom Leighton: Collective View is on at Gallery 27, Cork Street, W1s 3NG from 24 September until 6 October. Entrance is free.
