We're a nation of dog lovers but in London actually owning a dog isn't always that practical. With apartment living, long working hours and the lack of green space, the city isn't a natural environment for keeping a pooch.

So when we see dogs out and about, they're great to photograph. From spaniels working as sniffer dogs to doggy fashion assets, our furry friends make charming subjects... as indeed do their owners.
