One of the perennial highlights of a walk along the Southbank is the sandy alcove near Gabriels Wharf, home to a small community of beach sculptors. Martin Artman is one of the most prolific, regularly crafting photogenic likenesses of famous people and characters from popular TV shows (especially The Simpsons). Here are a few of his best creations, and you can view plenty more over on his Flickr stream.
