You Can Still Get Olympic & Paralympic Tickets

1 AUGUST UPDATE: AROUND 3,000 OLYMPIC TICKETS ARE BEING RELEASED NIGHTLY ONLINE FOR THE NEXT DAY’S EVENTS SO KEEP CHECKING THE LONDON 2012 TICKETING WEBSITE.

Don’t be fooled into thinking you missed your chance to get Olympic tickets. There are still some great opportunities to watch the Games first hand available now through the official London 2012 ticketing website.

If you’ve been following our Olympic Sport Lowdown series and are freshly keen to see Volleyball at Earl’s Court, you can bag tickets for £45 right now if you’re flexible on dates and sessions. Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Sailing and Wrestling — Freestyle also all have tickets still available, with tickets being released for sale almost daily.

Also on sale are Olympic Park session tickets for £10. These only get you access to the Park, not the venues — so you won’t see any live sport — but if it’s architecture, people watching and Games spirit you’re interested in, then this ticket will enable you to explore the huge site* for a morning, afternoon or evening session and allow you to purchase an additional £15 timed ticket to go up the Orbit for a towering view of it all.

Better value by far, though, are Paralympic Olympic Park Day Passes at the same £10. These give access to the Park for a full day and include entry to see any sport in the Park, other than Athletics, Cycling or Swimming. Add your Orbit ticket on to that and you’ve got a proper good day out. Be quick though, looks like they’re only still available for Wednesday 5 September.

If you’re desperate to experience the Olympic Stadium and the Aquatics Centre in competitive mode tickets for Paralympic events are still up for grabs from as little as £10.

Visit the London 2012 ticketing site and search either by sport, venue or date. NB you must be registered to do this.

If you don’t want to buy tickets, check out the official Live Sites around London.

so do you have to prebook the tickets for the olympic park or can you turn up and just pay 10 pound for the morning?

    • Lindsey

You have to buy online from London 2012 ticketing website. No tickets are on sale at the Park.

why are there so many event available but no olympic park tickets available?  You can’t get one without the other.

For the Olympics LOCOG have been selling £10 Olympic Park tickets which don’t get you into events but allow access to the Park.

For the Paralympics, Olympic Park Day Passes get you onto the Park and allow access – subject to availability – to some venues (but not Stadium, Velodrome or Aquatics).
