Watch t20 Cricket At The Oval This Week

If your summer of sport has been something of a damp squib so far, jolly it up at the Oval this week with four matches of local interest in the Friends Life Twenty 20 cricket tournament.

As the teams head to the quarter final stages, Oval home team Surrey Lions have everything to play for and four south eastern teams to face. Tonight, Hampshire Royals; tomorrow Sussex Sharks; Kent Spitfires on Thursday and Middlesex Panthers on Friday.

Surrey will boast England stars Kevin Pietersen and Chris Tremlett in their line up, which also includes some of the biggest hitters in the game with batsman such as Jason Roy, Steven Davies and Rory Hamilton-Brown. They also feature Stuart Meaker – the 95mph fastest bowler in England – and a host of other England speedsters. You should have plenty of opportunity to wave your four and six banners in the air, as long as it doesn't all get rained off.

t20 cricket is fast and fun and accompanied by music, pyrotechnics, big foam hands and more. Go to the match on Friday and you'll even witness the running of the London Mascot Derby alongside the serious (but fun) business of cricket.

All matches start at 6.30pm at the Kia Oval, right by Oval tube station. Tickets are £20 adults and £1 for U16s but there are also special offers on group tickets and multiple bookings so call the ticket line for the best deal: 0844 375 1845.
