Watch Out For Death At Kingston Regatta

If you're planning a trip to the riverside to watch the racing at Kingston Regatta this weekend, watch out for Death.

The Grim Reaper will be lurking by the riverside looking for fish and chips around 1pm, paying a visit to Kingston market just after two then doing a bit of shopping in the Bentalls Centre between 3.30-4pm.

But don't worry life-lovers, Death is just a huge 6ft 4inch puppet with a starring role in Mort the Musical which is getting ready for a run at the Rose Theatre at the end of August. The show is based on Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel and will be performed by a national company of 40 Youth Music Theatre members aged 11-21.

Death also has a flying horse called Binky but, alas, she won't be getting to mingle with the Kingstonians.

Mort the Musical is at the Rose Theatre, Kingston from 29 August to 1 September. Tickets from £8.

Kingston Regatta will see 275 races happen over this Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July from 9am-7pm.
