- The London Literature Festival is in full swing at Southbank Centre (various prices).
- Go to the London Open at Whitechapel Gallery for the "most dynamic work being made in London in 2012" (free).
- Be by the river and watch the races at Kingston Regatta
- London Film and Comic Con is at Olympia (tickets from £6).
- The Pop Up Screens begin a summer tour in Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith with Office Space, The Goonies and Labyrinth (tickets £8).
- Browse the Bloomsbury Art Fair at Goodenough College (tickets £10 but offers available).
- Still loads of films to see at the East End Film Festival until Sunday.
- Do a TangoWalk and see outdoor circus performance at the National Theatre’s Watch This Space Festival (free).
- Southgate and Palmers Green open studios and art trail is open 11am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday (free).
- It's the final weekend of the London Festival of Architecture and there's lots going on around Kings Cross.
Friday:
- Watch Surrey Lions play Middlesex Panthers at T20 cricket and witness the London Derby Mascot run from 6.30pm (tickets £20, u16s £1).
- Enjoy Apsley House by twilight with a late opening 5-8pm (adults £6.50).
- The London Gay Men's Chorus celebrate World Pride with a concert at Southwark Cathedral from 7.30pm (suggested donation £10).
Saturday:
- Despite cuts to official events in Soho and scaling back the traditional parade Pride London hosts World Pride Day with a procession from Baker Street to Whitehall starting at 11am and celebrations in Trafalgar Square from 1.30-6pm (free).
- Join the Rosetta Stone scavenger hunt, make new friends, discover things and be in with a chance to win flights anywhere in the world from 11am (free).
- The Big Dance is popping up everywhere: there's a Big Dance Special at the Geffrye Museum Hoxton with family friendly activities between 10.30am-4pm (free) plus more big dance performance outdoors in London Fields in the afternoon (free) and Kings Cross Granary Square hosts a family friendly fun day of dance with performances, workshops and a disco from 11am (free).
- The Canine Games provides dog pun fun in Haggerston Park from midday (£3 in).
- Tour the catacombs at Kensal Green Cemetery open day, inspect hearses and visit stalls from 11am-5pm (free entry, tours £4).
- See some of the archaeological discoveries made during the Crossrail dig (free).
Sunday:
- Cheer on the runners in the British 10K round an central London route packed with landmarks from 9.35am (watch out for road closures).
- Art deco glamour is revived at Eltham Palace and Garden with Preparation for a Party between 11am-4pm (adults £9.60).
- The UN1TY Festival debuts with feel good music and fun in aid of Peace One Day in Fairfield Park, Kingston from 12-5pm (£5).
- More Big Dance fun for you: jig, or just watch the jigging at the Big Dance picnic at Horniman Museum & Gardens between 12-4pm (free) and join the Strictly Gypsy mini festival of Romani dance at the Dogstar in Brixton from 4.30pm (tickets £10).
