Art Wednesday is a website that promotes artists, film makers, fashion, music...all kinds of fabulous creative things, plus a shop and twice-yearly magazine. Now it's aiming to connect up readers, contributors and artists in real life – its second Nice to Meet You event takes place in Dalston tomorrow.
The big draw is a talk from Ben Hammersley (pictured), Editor at Large at Wired UK. If there's something he doesn't know about the internet, chances are it's not worth knowing. Then there's music from Pixie Geldof's band Violet and food from Matthew Phelps of Funthyme. Plus a stall from fashion and photography booksellers Claire de Rouen and, of course, the opportunity to mingle and chat with fellow artistically-minded people.
Nice to Meet You takes place at the Dalston Roof Park, 18 Ashwin Street E8, on Wednesday 11 July from 6.30pm. Tickets cost £30 and include food, gig and speaker.
