Imagination: Danish Festival / Japan Centre Food Festival: Kyushu

With all eyes on London over the coming weeks, our neighbours are getting into the international swing of things and have come over to join the party. And they've even brought their own beer. The perfect guests, if you ask us.

The Danes have set up shop at St Katharine Docks with Imagination – Discover the Danish spirit, running until 12 August, and food days are taking place this weekend until 29 August. Highlights include a replica Viking ship, a play around with some Lego and sports screenings. Free hot dogs are rumoured.

It's not just the Scandinavians who are making themselves at home. In addition to the wonderful Arigatou Japanese festival coming to The County Hall, the Japan Centre’s third Japan Food Festival, also running until 12 August, is showcasing some limited edition produce from the island of Kyushu as well as the free tastings that will be held daily from 3–6pm in store.
