Things To Do In London On The Cheap: 11-17 June

Monday: Go to a lunchtime concert at St Martin in the Fields at 1pm, also Tuesdays & Fridays (free, donations appreciated).

Tuesday: The London Bookcrossing Meetup group has their monthly get together at the Camel & Artichoke from 6pm, look for the books (50p, free for first-timers).

Wednesday: The London Underground Film Sessions return to the Horse Hospital with shorts from Lethal Lesbian, the Israeli lesbian film festival and a feature-length horror film from 7pm (tickets £3.50 adv/£5 on the door).

Cultureseekers are improving their knowledge of Victorian London at the Museum of London Archaeology archive from 7pm then going to the pub (£5 for full members, £6 for non-members).

Thursday: South East London Folklore Society considers the Dark Muse with a talk by Jack Gale on the hidden role of evocatory magic in the performing arts upstairs at the Old Kings Head, Borough, from 8pm (£2.50).

Friday: Climb aboard the Docklands Community Boat with London Dreamtime for candlelit urban storytelling from 9pm (£4).

Saturday: Try African dance at the Cuming Museum with Nzinga Dance and live drumming from 2-4pm (free).

Make a War Horse shadow puppet at the National Theatre Inside out Pop-up Workshop 3-5pm (free).

Londonist Flickrist Dusty Sevens spins the soul records at the Betsey Trotwood for 99p Soul from 8pm-1am (99p entry).

Sunday: Visit the Wiener Library in Russell Square on their Open Day and look at the new exhibition on the 1936 Berlin Olympics, go behind the scenes in the archives and browse the beautiful Reading Room from 1-4pm (free).

Tango Spitalfields is back with an afternoon milonga beneath the canopy from 1-4pm (free).
