Talk London is one of the various events where members of the public can put questions to the Mayor or London Assembly members. The next one happens on 27 June at Methodist Central Hall, hosted by LBC’s Nick Ferrari. You can ask Boris about what matters to you, how you think London will be affected this summer and what the Mayor plans to do for the next four years. Tickets are free, limited to two per person and if you want to sit down get there early.
Down the road on the same evening, the Evening Standard will be hosting a debate about London’s airport capacity. Panellists include Willie Walsh of British Airways, Mayoral adviser Daniel Moylan, Alain de Botton, CBI Chief Policy Director Katja Hall and environmental campaigner Tamsin Omond. Jon Sopel will chair, doubtless raising questions about Heathrow expansion / third runway and the proposal for an Estuary airport, an issue dear to Boris’s heart. We wonder if he’ll be tempted to put in an appearance? Tickets are also free.
Both events take place on 27 June and are free. Doors open for Talk London at 6pm for a 7pm start at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster. Doors for the London Airports Debate open at 6pm for a 6.45pm start at the Emmanuel Centre, Marsham Street.
