Warehouse Party: Soundcrash Alldayer @ Oval Space

With a double bank holiday whammy, all thanks to our Betty, Sunday is the new Friday — especially if you like to pull a sickie on Fridays.

So what better excuse do you need for a day of dub, hip hop and warm electronica thanks to Soundcrash’s all day mini-festival at Hackney's newest venue, The Oval Space, on Sunday 3 June.

The legendary Trojan Soundsystem headline, with appearances from DJ Vadim, and Tokyo’s Anchorsong. Throughout the 12 hours, top drawer reggae selectors on the ones and twos will be spreading good vibes and love across the former gas works, with the air infused by a Jamaican Barbeque and no doubt some spilt Red Stripe. There’s even a spot of face painting, which will seem hilarious after a few beers in the sun.

Oval Space is based in an old warehouse just off Hackney Road, next to those massive gasometers you see next to the canal by Cambridge Heath. It promises to be a massive venue for rumbling sound systems and crunching beats. The guys at Soundcrash know exactly what they’re doing when they pick a throbbing party spot, so we're putting our faith in The Oval Space to deliver the bank holiday vibes.

The Soundcrash Alldayer, Sunday 3 June from 2pm - midnight at The Oval Space, The Oval – just off Hackney Road, E2 9DT. Tickets £9.50 -£14.50+bf through ticketweb.com
