Our free London Reads event — featuring Bryant and May novelist Christopher Fowler, Tired of London compiler Tom Jones, and author of Londoners Craig Taylor — takes place tonight. A few spaces are still available.
The authors will talk about their books, and how London influences their writing, followed by a Q&A compered by Londonist editor Matt Brown. It takes place tonight at Deptford Lounge, the shiny golden building recently constructed in Giffin Square, just off Deptford High Street. Unusually for a library, there will be a bar, as well as a book signing afterwards.
Deptford, by the way, isn't so far out from the centre as some might think. It's only 6 minutes from London Bridge with trains every 10 minutes. So be adventurous!
