- Second Floor artist studios in Woolwich invite the public in on Saturday and Sunday, 11am-6pm (free, unless you want to buy something).
- Explore Muswell Hill, win a diamond (free treasure trail).
Friday:
- HMS Belfast reopens to the public.
- Are you coming to our Thames quiz at the National Maritime Museum? (£16 for a team of 4).
- The Transcendentalists Tour 2012 – Celebrating FatCat’s ‘post-classical’ imprint 130701 Records gig happens at Barbican from 8pm (tickets from £12.50).
- While over on the Southbank, Bourgeois and Maurice play the Spiegeltent with their band at 9.30pm (tickets from £12.50).
Saturday:
- The Photographers Gallery opens its new building to the public at 10am (free entry).
- Join a Capital Clean Up session at Scrubs Nature Reserve, Shepherds Bush, Bishops Park, Fulham or Wimbledon and Putney commons (free, volunteer!)
- Visit beautiful Nunhead Cemetery on their Open Day between 11am-5pm for special tours, stalls, kids activities and visits to the chapel and crypt (free).
- And it's Surrey Docks Farm Spring Fayre with baby animals, donkey rides, cake and fun for kids between 11am-5pm (free, but donations very welcome).
- The Big Dance 2012 kicks off at Greenwich Dance with the Big Family Cabaret, including contemporary dance, hula hooping and local acts with afternoon tea from 4pm (tickets £10/£7.50 but you can haggle if you want.)
- And talking about dance, the Actionettes jump out of a cake at the Prince Albert in Brixton tonight from 9pm (free).
Sunday:
- Walk through London like a king or queen to raise money for Terence Higgins Trust.
- Dulwich Park Fair promises falconry displays, Punch & Judy, visitors from Vauxhall City Farm, stalls, music, food and more between 12-6pm (free).
- The Goethe Institute reopens to celebrate its 50th anniversary with an open day and free events including German taster lessons, a quiz, the chance to try German cake and tour the building (free).
- Take a tour of the House Mill — a grade 1 listed 18th century tidal mill — in Bromley-by-Bow between 11am-4pm (£3).
- Watch Canadian film under the banner, Shivers, at Roxy Bar & Screen from 3pm (day £8, single film £3).
