- The New Cross and Deptford Free Film Festivals start with a bike-powered Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes and more.
- The London Coffee Festival is at the Old Truman Brewery brewing up coffee tastings, a barista championship, live music and street food market (£9.50 adv - profits go to charity).
- The Sundance Film Festival is at the O2 Cineworld.
- Artists lead interesting walks around King's Cross this weekend (free but please book).
- Cake International the cake baking and decorating show is at the ExCel Centre (tickets £12/£11).
- The Cutty Sark reopens to the public on Saturday.
Friday:
- It's Last Friday for the South London Art Map. Book for the People's Choice Art Tour or gallery hop round Deptford, Peckham and Bankside (free).
- Museum hop in South Kensington as the Natural History Museum is open After Hours until 10pm (free to visit, some events ticketed) as is the V&A for its Britain is Making it Late till 10pm (free).
- The Offline Club hosts a Roots, Reggae and Rock special at the Prince Albert, Coldharbour Lane from 9pm-2.30am (free).
Saturday:
- The London Cycling Campaign's family friendly and marshalled Big Ride starts on Park Lane at 11am, cycling to Victoria Embankment.
- See Ron Mueck's incredible work at Hauser & Wirth between 10am-6pm (free).
- It's Dog Day in Marylebone as Cabbages and Frocks Market runs a cute canine festival in the grounds of Marylebone Parish Church between 11am-5pm.
- Shop at the Shoreditch Vintage Fair in Shoreditch Town Hall between noon and 5pm
- Oakstock market includes vintage stuff, arts and crafts, flea stalls, facepainting and refreshments at the Royal Oak pub, Harlesden between 1.30-5.30pm (free entry).
- Enjoy a late night Comedy Bonk at Soho Theatre from 11.30pm (£15).
Sunday:
- Watch or join in the Sci-Fi London Film Festival costume parade from midday, starting at Victoria Embankment (free).
- Danceworks has an open day to mark international day of dance with free classes and tasters between 12.30-7pm in loads of genres and for all ages and levels. It's first come, first served though so plan and get there early.
- Go to the Vintage Home and Interiors Fair at Cecil Sharp House in Primrose Hill between 11am-5pm (£2 entry - some free tickets available online).
- Be at the Bollywood dance showcase Balle Balle on a Sunday Sunday - featuring professional dancers and students - at Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road between 6-9pm (£10 advance).
- Watch British gangster movie Hard Boiled Sweets at Genesis Cinema, Mile End Road from 6.30pm and followed by a Q&A with the director, with the Director David Hughes and others (tickets £8/£5.50).
