Things To Do In London On The Cheap: 17-22 April

Tuesday: City and Cripplegate Photographic Society host a talk by top photographer Julio Etchart from 6.45pm at City YMCA, 8 Errol St, EC1Y 8LX. All welcome (£3).

The Swedenborg Society presents a screening of Michael Whyte's No Greater Love at Swedenborg Hall, 20-21 Bloomsbury Way, WC1A 2TH from 6.30pm with director's Q&A (free).

Wednesday: Alchemy Festival presents a double bill of south east Asian dance in the Clore Ballroom from 6pm with Divya Kasturi and Shane Shambu (free).

Thursday: The Philharmonia Orchestra stage a special classical recital from award-winning flautist, Samantha Pearce, from 6pm in the Royal Festival Hall (free).

Friday: Go to Yinka Shonibare's Guest Projects space on the Regent's Canal, E8 for a Russian live art experience, vodka and the Joyful Archipelago exhibition from 7-9pm (free).

Saturday: Enjoy free gigs and giveaways for Record Store Day.

Join the CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle arts and crafts walk around Southwark from noon (free, donation appreciated).

Visit newly reopened Jacobean Boston Manor House and park which is open on weekends till October (free).

Sunday: Line the streets to cheer on the runners at the London Marathon.

From the Phoenix Cinema archives... Anand Patwardhan’s multi-award-winning documentary Father, Son and Holy War gets a screening at 2pm (free).
