Comedy Preview: Invisible Dot New Wave @ Bloomsbury Theatre

Invisible Dot are one of the best comedy producers around; they've worked with Tim Key, Mark Watson, Daniel Kitson, David O'Doherty and Simon Amstell so when you see one of their shows advertised, you know you're in for something good. Even with that knowledge, we damn near imploded when we saw the line-up for their 'new wave' tour that stops off at the Bloomsbury Theatre on 14 May.

We lost track of how many times we insisted you had to see Adam Riches at his Soho Theatre residency. If you didn't go, you obstinate thing you, we absolutely demand you see him here, co-headlining with Jonny Sweet (who we also love). With Riches's anarchic energy and Sweet's buttoned-up dimness that's a fantastic show in itself, but support comes from the handsome Tom Basden (often seen knocking around with Tim Key or writing hit plays), sketch duo Toby (actually sisters Sarah and Lizzie Daykin), sketch trio Sheeps, characters from Nick Mohammed (you may have seen him in Life's Too Short, but don't judge), Will Andrews and Ben Target. It's like a who's-who of freewheeling comedy up-and-comers.

Stick around to hear the final song of Tom Basden's:

Invisible Dot's New Wave tour comes to Bloomsbury Theatre, 15 Gordon Street, on Monday 14 May, 7.30pm. Tickets are £14 / £12.
