Posh Piccadilly purveyors Fortnum & Mason show off their bee colonies in a series of special events beginning in April. Visitors will get to see the roof-top hives, followed by a honey-tasting in the store's Crypt space. From June, and to mark the (human) Queen's 60th year on the throne, participants will also get to sip Jubilee Cuvee Champagne, which apparently has a "unique affinity with honey".
The apian attraction is available on the following dates: 19 April, 4 May, 7 June, 8 June, 6 July, 3 August, 9 August. Tickets are £25 for the first two dates, and £35 for the remaining days, which include the Champers. Book your spot by phoning F&M on 0845 602 5694.
