If the springy weather has you feeling perky and primed for magic, mischief and mayhem your presence is desired at a massive and fabulous live arts party this weekend.

Fables and fairytales will fill the glorious Battersea Arts Centre building courtesy of nabokov Arts Club who will invite you to explore hidden dens, enchanted forests and magical ballrooms.

The menu for the night includes a musical subversion of Cinderella by Doctor Who star Arthur Darvill, modern folk adaptations of Aesop’s Fables and a fairytale short from the mind of This is England ’88 writer Jack Thorne. King Porter Soup, will perform live funk, ska, dub and hip hop. Who knows how they can mesh together those four musical genres, but you wouldn’t want to miss them try.

Pop-up performances will stop you in your tracks, slumber parties will chill you out. Seek out the beautiful juggler and the lost princess. Create your very own fable with an interactive installation. Get animal face-painted and dance the witching hour away to rare funk and beats.

The twisted happenings happen on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 March from 8pm-2am at Battersea Arts Centre, Lavender Hill, London, SW11 5TN. Tickets £18 advance, £20 on the door. Box Office: 020 7223 2223.
