Preview: Douglas Adams 60th Birthday Party

Douglas Adams loved a party. If only he'd made it to 59 we reckon he'd be looking forward to the one his friends, family and favourite charities have organised in honour of his 60th birthday.

Douglas Adams The Party has attracted an interstellar line up of entertainment. Prof. Brian Cox, Robin Ince and Jon Culshaw will talk about life, the universe and everything. Clive Anderson will be in conversation with Terry Jones about Douglas' comedy legacy and The Meaning of Liff will be brought to life by John Lloyd, Stephen Mangan and Sanjeev Bhaskar.

Top it off with live music from bands that played at many of Douglas’ infamous parties and you've got a top quality bill that's funny, sad, stimulating, captivating, informative, rockin' and ruminative. A fond and fitting tribute.

Douglas Adams The Party happens at Hammersmith Apollo starting at 5pm till about 8.30pm on Sunday 11 March. Tickets cost £30 and all proceeds go to Save the Rhino and EIA (Environmental Investigation Agency).
