Following on from The Rhythm of London ‘busk-off’, Gigs - Big Busk saw last year’s winners, the Robbie Boyd Band and Ze Trio, indulge in a spot of guerrilla busking in London and Paris yesterday. They busked everywhere. From the early hours at the departure lounge, to a lunchtime treat on the Eurostar, and on the other side of the channel at landmark locations such as the Eiffel tower and the Pompidou Centre. Music was played, crowds were formed and even a little money was made.

So, you want to catch the boys in London?

They won for a reason, and if you want to check them out they’ll be at Trafalgar Square 21 April.

Spectating not your style? Rather put yourself forward for prizes (and everyone loves prizes)?

If you’re a young artist (young being between 11-25) then head over to Mayor of London Presents to find out how to take part. The official deadline is 1 June but submissions are being encouraged ASAP. Do it. Do it now. You can come back and read us a little bit more later.

We followed the guerrilla busking as part of a press trip.
