The Metropolitan Police are appealing for information linked to the hit-and-run of a 93-year-old man in Camberwell, South London on Wednesday 15 February. The victim was crossing Grove Lane when he was struck by a new model dark grey Volkswagen Golf.
Ernest Maloney, 93 recieved head and internal injuries and died on Sunday morning.
The Met have released a statement: "If you work in the motor industry and have repaired a car matching this description in the past two week, or if you know of someone who has stopped driving a similar vehicle, I would ask that you contact us."
Ernest Maloney's family described him as an active and independent member of the community.
