Vertical Rush: Climb One Of London's Tallest Buildings

Time, once again, for one of London's great annual charity events. Vertical Rush is a race up Tower 42, the second tallest building in the City. All 920 steps.

The climb is in aid of housing and homelessness charity Shelter and takes place on Thursday 1 March (various time slots from 7.30am until early afternoon). The arduous ascent is rewarded by magnificent views from the 42nd floor, as we can attest from 2009 and 2010. You'll also get to attend a celebratory reception after the race, where the winners are revealed.

Entrants must pledge to raise at least £165 (individuals), £750 (teams of five), or £450 (relay teams of three). Registration fees also apply (£35/£175/£105 respectively). If you think you've got what it takes, enter here.
