Tobias Till has created this colourful A-Z of London landmarks, available as a box set or individually. A is for Albert Memorial, B is for Borough Market, C is for Carnaby Street, and so on. 'What's he done for X?' you're probably wondering. Ingeniously, it's the X-shaped diagonal crossing in Oxford Circus.

The distinctive prints include many background details that pinpoint the views in time. The Eurostar print, for example, includes the temporary Olympic rings currently hanging over the concourse, while the Borough Market scene shows a partially built Shard in the background. Details such as these should give the series a touch of nostalgic interest many years from now.

The London Eye appears in several of the images: “I like the idea that a landmark that is shown from different positions in a number of prints sets up a  dialogue between those images and gives an overall spatial impression of the city,” says the artist.

The set includes 27 prints (the 26 letters plus a title sheet) and will be made available through TAG Fine Arts at the London Art Fair, 18-22 January at the Business Design Centre, Islington. You can browse the whole set, and Tobias' other London work, here.
