Where are London's shittest and bestest Christmas decorations? Hays Galleria looks gorgeous at the moment, while Carnaby Street have gone for what looks like mutant mistletoe. Get out beyond zone 1, however, and things aren't so plentiful. @rindiecinema tweeted a photo of a woeful Balham last week and it looks like Homerton is experiencing something similar. (The other week we walked past Catford's Christmas tree with lights only on the upper half, but it seems someone's rearranged it since then.)

But what we're aching to see is one of those houses festooned in lights. Someone must live near one, surely?
