London Stand Up And Sketch Comedy: 18-23 December

Where to find funny next week

Sunday: The No Pressure to be Funny podcast team are doing their review of the year at the Leicester Square Theatre (8pm, £10), hosted by James O'Brien with a brilliant raft of guests: Rich Hall, Miles Jupp, Miranda Sawyer, Ken Livingstone, George Monbiot and Mitch Benn and the Distractions.

Monday: Tom Palmer and Tom Stourton are the Toms in Totally Tom, nominated for the Newcomer award at Edinburgh this year. For their show at the New Red Lion Theatre (8pm, £6) they're joined by more Toms (Craine and Rosenthal), Henry Paker, Adam Hess, Max and Ivan and Sam Simmons.

Tuesday: Anarcho-goth-surrealist Andrew O'Neill is one of our favourite comedians and he's on at Lolitics at the Black Heart, alongside Nick Revell, Sarah Bennetto, James W Smith, Naomi McAulife and your host Chris Coltrane (8pm, £3).

Wednesday: Improvisers Anonymous are tonight's performers at the Olive Theatre's week of improv. These guys specialise in Whose Line Is It Anyway style games (7.30pm, £7).

Thursday: Hampstead Comedy Club starts its run of pre-Christmas Traditional Jewish Comedy Shows, with Mark Maier, Sol Bernstein host Ivor Dembina and, tonight, Juliet Myers and tomorrow Josh Howie (8.30pm, £11.50).

Friday: We can't think of a better way to ramp up for Christmas than Bourgeois & Maurice's Fa La La La La at the Soho Theatre (9.45pm, £15 / £12.50, also on all week and 28th Dec-7th Jan). If you haven't seen their pisstake of the John Lewis ad, press the play button.
