Things To Do In London On The Cheap: 21-27 November


Monday: Find out about the Magic of Plants with Secret Chiefs at the Wheatsheaf from 8.30pm (£2).

Tuesday: The Spiegel Saloon at Winter Wonderland has lots of quirky entertainment lined up like the Piano Juke Box playing requests every Tuesday from 7pm.

Wednesday: UnderWire Film Festival starts tonight, showcasing short films by female film-making talent (screenings £5).

Thursday: The Off Modern Late at Barbican is part of the OMA/Progress exhibition. Find sonic sculpture, bands playing in the dark, LSO musicians doing a clubnight and DJs from 6pm till late (free).

Friday: It's a Friday Late at the V&A with No Strings, exploring graphics through the lens of independent publishing with music, workshops and talks till 10pm (free).

Saturday: INTERCOURSE at the ICA offers a plethora of unique opportunities for strange happenings throughout the day, e.g. a re-enactment of Eisenstein: The Odessa Steps Sequence from Battleship Potemkin (£5).

Sunday: Visit Leake Street between 12-2pm to witness a photo installation being created made up of photographs of graffiti artists by photographers Brian David Stevens and Marc Vallée (free).

The pub quiz at The Regent in Balham is a "really bloody good quiz" apparently, from 8pm (£2 entry).
