Tickets for the group stages of the Olympic football tournament go back on sale at 11am this morning.
The first ever British football team will open their Olympic campaign at Old Trafford on Thursday 26 July and play their second match at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 29 July. Their last group stage match will be at the Millennium Stadium. The British women’s team will play their opening two games in Cardiff (July 25 & 28) and their final group stage match at Wembley on Tuesday 31 July.
There are more than 1.5 million football tickets still available across all sessions – at Old Trafford, Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, City of Coventry Stadium, Hampden Park Glasgow, Newcastle’s St James’ Park – with limited tickets still available for matches taking place at Wembley.
Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis so get in there quick. Full price tickets start at £20 with special ‘pay your age’ prices for young people and £16 tickets for seniors.
