Music Preview: The Homeless Oratorio

Musicians from the Crisis Skylight live music performance course present a concert of original music at the Actors' Church next week.

Those participating in The Homeless Oratorio have developed poems, prose and musical pieces about homelessness in sessions with creative charity Squeaky Gate. The musical workshops are just one of many opportunities for homeless people to get advice, get healthy, get creative and get qualified in the supportive environment of Crisis Skylight's Commercial Street centre.

The concert is an opportunity to share their work and their diverse stories, finding a voice through music. The Skylight musicians will be joined by members of London Symphony Orchestra and The Choir With No Name.

The Homeless Oratorio will be performed on Wednesday 30 November at 7.30pm at St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. Tickets £15 (£5 voluntary donation included).

Thinking about volunteering at Christmas? Crisis and St Mungo's both need help.
