Comedy Preview: Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown

Earlier this year, sketch troupe Pappy's created a kind of live show / panel game that was also recorded for a podcast. The concept: Matthew (sensible Pappy) is the landlord of the increasingly unruly flat that Tom and Ben also live in. The only way they could find to solve their flatsharing problems (who takes out the bins, who has to deal with the mouse) was to bring in guests and duke it out in the form of a gameshow.

We've all been there.

And on Tuesday it's back! For a one-off Christmas special. Iain Lee and Joe Wilkinson now Humphrey Ker join the ranks of those who've joined Pappy's in their glorious dicking-about (previous Slamdowners include Richard Herring, Isy Suttie, Robin Ince and Holly Walsh). The precise nature of the chores in question remain to be confirmed, but we suspect they'll be largely seasonal in nature.

If you want to get a feel for how the show goes down, all six podcasts are still available to listen to.

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown Christmas Special takes place at The Phoenix pub, 37 Cavendish Square W1, on 29th November, 7.30pm start. Tickets are £6.
