Black Market Grows Around National Gallery's Leonardo Show

Got your ticket for the National Gallery's Leonardo show yet? Although the exhibition runs until 5 February, all advance tickets have now been sold.

In fact, the blockbuster is proving so popular that something of a black market is opening up. According to the BBC, resales on Ebay and Viagogo are hitting the £400 mark (legitimate tickets cost £16).

The gallery says that reselling tickets breaches the terms and conditions of sale, and such second-hand passes will be cancelled without refund (despite the practice being commonplace in other spheres of entertainment). It's not known how they will identify the illicit goods.

Although advance tickets are now out of the question a small number of on-the-day allocations are available. Alternatively, get a job at the gallery and see as much as you like.
