Institut Francais celebrates comics, ‘bande dessinee’ and graphic novels with BD & Comics Passion.

The Renegade Craft Fair is at the Old Truman Brewery on Saturday and Sunday with crafty workshops, designers, makers and shopping and it's free to attend.
Free, public dance commission Square Dances takes place in Bloomsbury Squares for Dance Umbrella on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Islington's Bootleg Bus throws a fundraising party with the Hit and Run Weekend of art, cinema and beer at 40 St Peters Street, Angel, N1.
Bankside's Merge Festival sees Caravan Theatre bring interactive experience 'And the Birds Fell from the Sky' to outside Tate Modern, Friday and Saturday 3-7pm (free).

Get a taste for the National Gallery with a late guided tour, 7-8pm (free)
Sonic Cinema launches at the BFI with Rob da Bank providing the soundtrack to the 1933 King Kong, 8.45pm (£9.50).
Spoonfed recommend a trip to the Disco Shed which brings the garden party to Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes from 8pm-3am (£5/4).

Saturday:

Go to Lambeth's Garden Museum today for the Incredible Edible Big Harvest Party and take in the Garden City to Green City exhibition while you're there (adults £6, kids free).
Take the kids to the Lyric Hammersmith for Draw Me a Bird, a dance theatre music experience at 11am and 1pm (all tickets £8).
The rescheduled Meeting of Styles all day graffiti block party happens today from midday to midnight at The Studios behind Holloway Road Station - all welcome (free).
It's the Photomonth Photofair in Old Spitalfields Market between 10.30am-6pm.
Join the Fox & Squirrel art walk round Peckham from 3pm (£15).
The Rough Trade Free Show at Notting Hill Arts Club means live music through the afternoon with Shoes and Socks Off, Bear Cavalry and Stealing Signs from 4-8pm (free).
The first weekend of the Nursery Festival of new and improvised theatre puts on an improv marathon with Cell Block - Doing Time, 26 hours of 'improvised imprisonment' at Light Industrial Theatre, Arch 61 Ewer Street, SE1. Watch it in 2 hour bites (£5 a show, £12 a come and go pass).
Peckham Library hosts the Black History Month Peckham Poetry Slam from 7-9pm (free).

Sunday:

Get your wardrobe ready for autumn with the Vintage Fashion Fair in Primrose Hill at Cecil Sharp House, 11am-5pm (£3 admission).
It's the Royal Parks Foundation half marathon starting and finishing in Hyde Park - cheer on the runners if you see them, between 9.30am-2pmish.
Skate to the Olympic Park with the special one way Sunday Stroll starting at Hyde Park, 2pm (free).
Like electronic music? Party at the Horse and Groom's Sunday Project in Shoreditch, 5pm-2am (free entry).
The closing gala of the Raindance Film Festival presents a screening of Bonsai at 7pm followed by an afterparty (tickets £25).
