The A-Z Of Odd London Street Names (Part 2)

Following on from our previous installment (A-K) here are 12 more unusual street names from around London, covering letters L through R. From the (supposedly haunted) Nan Clarks Lane up in Barnet, to the enviable Quiet Nook down in Bromley.

    And then there’s Little Britain’s rival near St James Park, Petty France.  Maybe we should dig a narrow tunnel between the two and run model Eurostar trains through it :-)

    Short’s Gardens (near Victoria). Frognal. Bleeding Heart Yard and Man in Moon Passage were probably pubs (named after coats of arms).

    I used to live on Pudding Mill Lane in Stratford apparently theres a Pudding Lane in EC3 too.
