Gigs to go to this week, including a bumper crop of Oxjam gigs

Tonight: French post-punk trio the Underground Railroad are at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen.

Tuesday: noise pop band Chapel Club are at Shepherd's Bush Empire with Other Lives. Sam Amidon will be at Cecil Sharp House and Ayanna Witter Johnson headlines a Lyrix Organix fundraiser for Medecins Sans Frontieres at the Old Queens Head, Islington.

Wednesday: former Arab Strap man Aidan Moffat is at Cargo with collaborator Bill Wells. Oxjam Walthamstow features Polarbear, Barbarossa aka James Mathe, the Melting Ice Caps and Akira the Don.

Hardcore band Enter Shikari will be at the Electric Ballroom on Wednesday and Thursday.

Thursday: singer-songwriter Son of Dave plays the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen. Idle Fret run an Oxjam gig at the Silver Bullet, Finsbury Park.

Friday: dream poppers the Vichy Government are at the Lexington with Gyratory System. To celebrate the release of their album, Victor Menace invite you to a speed gypsy showdown with the Magic Tombolinos at New Empowering Church, Westgate Street, E8.

Saturday: producer and beatnik Flying Lotus is at the Roundhouse.

It's a massive day for Oxjam with mini-festivals in Islington, Stoke Newington, Chiswick, Camberwell and Brick Lane, plus the Kaparte Oxjam night of experimental music, performances, visual art and djs at The Miller, London Bridge.

Sunday: It's Brixton's turn to get taken over for Oxjam.
