Starts Tonight: More London Free Film Festival

We can't believe the More London Free Film Festival is really nine years old this year.

But it's true. So fingers crossed for some balmy September evenings where you can enjoy the following films for free, in the gorgeous riverside amphitheatre, The Scoop, in More London. (The splendid Tower Bridge / Tower of London / City Hall backdrop is also thrown in for free.)

There's no need to book, so you really can just turn up if you think the weather’s going to be kind. Best to bring something to sit on, though, as the concrete Scoop seats can get a bit uncomfy / chilly after dark.

  • Alice in Wonderland, 14 Sept
  • The King's Speech, 15 Sept
  • Dirty Dancing, 16 Sept
  • The Illusionist, 21 Sept
  • The Social Network, 22 Sept
  • The African Queen, 23 Sept
  • The Manchurian Candidate, 28 Sept
  • Grease, 29 Sept
  • True Grit, 30 Sept

Films start at 7.30pm. If it’s a popular one, and the weather’s good, get down there early.

The More London Free Film Festival is at The Scoop at More London, More London Riverside, London, SE1. See www.morelondon.com/thescoop for more info.
