Preview: Vogue's Fashion Night Out

London Fashion Week is approaching ready to regale us with key looks for spring/summer 2012. Yet most of it is for industry and only spills into the public gaze when you spot fashionistas dressed to the nines on the morning commute, clutching coffee and wearing shades.

Everyone is invited to a fashion extravaganza this Thursday night, however, thanks to Vogue's Fashion Night Out where you will encounter pockets of shopping, shoes and style action across the West End:

Thirty stores in the Seven Dials area of Covent Garden will be dollied up with in-store treats including DJs, complimentary food and drinks, style advisors, makeovers, exclusive products, gifts with purchase and prize draws and cavorting in the window of Coco de Mer.

The flagship Topshop at Oxford Circus is throwing a 'shopping party'

St Martin's Courtyard hosts a pop up bar, where you can find free eye treatments. Go to Jaeger for free cupcakes.

Hang out in Covent Garden piazza and you might get talent spotted but if not, be entertained by celebrity DJs at the pop up Canteen.

Selfridges will be previewing Clements and Ribeiro in the Museum of Everything, running upmarket prize draws and if you find new brand, Alice and Olivia you're in for a 'whimsical carnival event' on 3.

Head for Mulberry on Bond Street for fun, games and food and look out for the black cab photo booth outside Dior on New Bond Street. In fact, try and step into all those designer shops you usually wouldn't dare to.

There are so many events going on that someone made an app to help you navigate them all. Or is apps aren't your style, check out Vogue's Fashion Night Out 2011 online or use their interactive map to plan your (window) shopping frenzy. It all happens on Thursday 8 September between 5-9pm.

Oh, and watch out for our photographers, seeking to snap your style on the streets.
