Brick Lane Legends Celebrated In Street Art

Artist Ben Slow recently decorated the Brick Lane area with this pair of portraits. On Bacon Street you’ll find an homage to Charlie Burns. The 95-year-old former furniture dealer spends much of his time sitting in his car on the same street, outside the family business ran by his daughter. The second portrait is of Billy Brown Jr, a much-loved local character and self-proclaimed ‘king of Brick Lane’ who passed away recently. It can be found on the side of Peach Properties on Bethnal Green Road.

The modern names of the months January, February, etc. came to us from the ancient Romans.
Ancient Slavs called the same months in his own way, and the names of Slavic calendar months are associated with activities of our ancestors http://beltain.ru/
