Cargo Fundraiser For Injured Street Artist King Robbo

One of London's most famous graffiti writers remains in a serious condition after sustaining a life-threatening head injury in April this year. Robbo (also known as King Robbo) was placed in an induced coma following the incident, details of which have not been publicly disclosed. Now, his friends and the We Rock Hard crew are organising a fund-raiser to help support the ailing artist and his family.

Robbo's been well known to graffers for years, but reached a wider notoriety in 2009 following a dispute with Banksy. The much-hyped Bristolian painted over a 25-year-old piece by Robbo on the Camden Town canal towpath, prompting a spray-can war between the pair.

The fund-raiser event will take place at Cargo on 4 September. Numerous big names, including Eine and Pure Evil,  have donated work to an art auction, and a number of top DJs are also giving up their time for the event.

The King Robbo Fund-Raiser Event and Art Auction takes place 4 September at Cargo, 83 Rivington Street, 1pm-midnight. Tickets are a minimum £5, available in advance or on the door.
