Preview: UK Black Pride 2011

Miss Dynamite headlines the 6th annual UK Black Pride this Saturday afternoon.

UK Black Pride started in 2005 with a minibus trip to Southend and in 2007 developed into a festival style celebration held in the grounds of Regent's Park College. This year, Europe's biggest celebration of African, Asian, Caribbean and Middle Eastern LGBT people moves into central London with an all afternoon party in Torrington Square.

The line up features live music spanning urban, cabaret, rap, African drums and a bit of X-Factor, plus poetry and dance, before the mighty Miss Dy-na-mi-tee-hee rounds it all off.

Stonewall is the main event sponsor and there will be education and welfare workshops and community stalls, as well as a licensed bar, lots of food, dance tent and 'Secret Garden'.

Tickets are £10 adv, more on the gate. Doors open midday-8.30pm.
