Preview: Crafty Fox Market Returns to Brixton

Crafty Fox Market returns to Brixton this September, with a Night Market at The Dogstar on Coldharbour Lane.

As well as stalls stuffed with handmade treasures, you can also get a bit crafty yourself. Visit the Crafty Fox Night School and you can make a bow tie or a fascinator with the help of Tooting's Crafty Pint crew.

There’ll be lots of lovely local craft on show and on sale at this etsy.com sponsored event, including (our favourite) Knitted Beards by Brixton local Helen Kelleher aka Hairy Molly, and Galavant jewellery from another Brixtonite, Sinead Koehler.

If you can't make it down to Brixton on 1 September, you can also catch the Crafty Fox Market next to Tate Modern during the Mayor's Thames Festival (10 and 11 September, midday to 10pm). There’ll be a "live draw" over the weekend, and more quirky workshops by Craft Guerrilla and others.

The Craft Fox Night Market runs from 6-10pm on Thursday 1 September at The Dogstar, 389 Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, SW9 8LQ. For more info, check out their blog, craftyfoxmarket.blogspot.com.
