Open House London: Pre-Booking Opens Monday

Fans of poking around unusual and historic buildings (and who isn't?) should get themselves in front of a computer tomorrow morning (8 August) at 10am. That's when booking forms go online for Open House London, the architectural extravaganza on 17-18 September.

As usual, you can simply turn up on the day to explore the vast majority of the 757 buildings taking part. However, a small number need to be booked in advance. The more popular are snapped up within minutes, so you should get in quickly. This is the page to visit at 10am on Monday.

Venues that require pre-booking include the underground bunker in Neasden, parts of the new King's Cross concourse, Tower 42, BBC Television Centre, and Trellick Tower. The BT Tower will also open for tours, but this is by email ballot rather than Monday morning scramble.

Ian Visits has done an excellent job of rounding up the full list, while Diamond Geezer gives you a Top 10.

An Open House iPhone app should also be available from tomorrow, as well as a PDF guide.
