Music Choice: 1-7 August

The Bouncing Souls are playing through all of their albums at a London residency at Islington Academy. Check out the retrospective of these pop punk staples — and their only UK appearances — from tonight until Thursday.

Tomorrow, pop music meets goth vocals with Crystal Stilts at Madame Jojo's.

Wednesday, funk synth trio the Stepkids make their UK debut at Cargo. For guitar-driven indie, Warm Brains are at CAMP Basement.

Thursday, weirdo pop wunderkind Grimes is at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen. You can also catch her at Corsica Studios on Friday.

Friday, the major music event for the under-18 set, Underage Festival, returns to Victoria Park. Highlights include Pulled Apart By Horses, Alex Winston, and Florrie.

For those of you over the age of 18, you can still spend a day at Victoria Park at the Apple Cart Festival on Sunday. The family-friendly event includes comedy and art as well as musicians including Badly Drawn Boy, James Yorkston, Patrick Wolf, and others.
