Ticket Alert: Gigs on Sale Friday 15 July

Here's our pick of this week's ticket onsales. Tickets to all these gigs should be available from 9am or 10am on Friday:

  • Surrey emo rockers You Me at Six do that teenage punk-pop thing well. So well that they've been called the UK's answer to Fall Out Boy. See them at Brixton Academy on 15 October.
  • You'll have heard Aloe Blacc's catchy 'I need a dollar', reportedly inspired by the credit crunch (the singer-songwriter used to work for Ernst & Young). The soul musician had a well-received album out last year - see him at Hammersmith Apollo on 15 December.
  • Hailing from New York, The Drums are an optimistic indie bunch with melodies rooted in the 1950s. With a second album out in September, they've announced three tiny gigs: at the Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, The Lexington and XOYO on 5, 6 and 7 September. Tickets from here.
  • Last time the reformed Jane's Addiction came to London, the alt-rockers played with Nine Inch Nails at The O2. It's fair to say Koko - which they play on 30 August - is a somewhat less-cavernous venue, so tickets will go fast.

Also booking this week: The Lemonheads, Bruno Mars and Uriah Heap.
