Summer Screen @ Canary Wharf

The big screen at Canada Square Park is diversifying slightly from its menu of sporting events to bring anime, music and silent cinema to E14.

Next week, Barbican Anime will show The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Professor Layton And The Eternal Diva and Summer Wars from 6.30pm.

If talkies aren't your thing, then the following three Mondays sees Buster Keaton in The General and The Navigator and Harold Lloyd in Safety Last!.

The Canary Wharf Jazz Festival starts on Friday 12th August accompanied by Jazz on the Screen, which kicks off with a biopic of Thelonius Monk. The weekend brings Jazz On A Summer's Day and Monk In Europe. Don't forget your jazz hands.

All the summer screenings are free and family-friendly. Visit the Canary Wharf events website for more details. A word of advice; don't bring your deckchairs because portable furniture isn't allowed. Do bring something waterproof to sit on.
