The funeral of Amy Winehouse, who died on Saturday will take place later today, attended only by family and friends.
The cause of death is still to be identified; the post-mortem carried out on Monday was inconclusive though this hasn’t prevented media speculation. An inquest has been adjourned until 26th October.
The singer, noted as much for her outspokenness as for her talent, had battled alcohol and drug problems for some time. Her home in Camden has become an impromptu shrine for fans who have left flowers, messages and other tributes.
