World Naked Bike Ride 2011 In Pictures
The eighth World Naked Bike Ride rolled through London on Saturday afternoon.
Fortunately, fine weather held out for the 1000+ liberated participants many of whose body paint might otherwise have been washed away. Anyone picking up a Cycle Hire bike this morning might have considered taking a pack of wet wipes with them as the sturdy steeds were much in evidence beneath bicycling bare buttocks.
As usual, it was a good natured ride celebrating cycling and the human form, whilst demonstrating its vulnerability - very few helmets were spotted - and protesting against car culture and oil dependency.
