Ticket Alert: Gigs on Sale Friday 17 June

Missed out on tickets to The Killers earlier this week? Here's our pick of gigs going on sale on 17 June. Tickets to these should be available from around 9am.

  • He's like a non-stop creative machine, is Alex Turner. Barely had he finished off the soundtrack to indie comedy Submarine than the Arctic Monkeys were back with another album. They've graduated to arenas now, so catch them at The O2 on 29 October. Tickets from here.
  • Bombay Bicycle Club's last record was a delicate, all-acoustic affair. Expect their forthcoming third album to have much more in common with 2009's I had the blues but I shook them loose. So feel-good, summery indie with some killer hooks. They play Brixton Adacemy on 19 October.
  • You'll probably know Scroobius Pip as the bearded half of the hip-hop duo behind 2008's Thou shalt always kill. The tongue twisting storyteller has been hard at work on a new solo project, combining spoken word, hip-hop and "noisier influences". Intrigued? See him at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on 18 August.
  • Listening to The Kooks' brand of bright, indie-pop sometimes feels like a bit of a guilty pleasure. But the Brighton-based quartet return later this year with a third album - and they'll be at Brixton Academy on 11 October. Tickets available here.
  • Cloud Control come from the Blue Mountains near Sydney, which might go some way towards explaining their bright, breezy sound and gorgeous harmonies. They've won a host of awards back home and are tipped for success here. See them at Scala on 12 October. Tickets from here.

Also booking this week: Chris Rea and The Darkness at Hammersmith Apollo (not on the same evening), and  Digitalism at the HMV Forum.
