Lit Preview: London Literature Festival

Here's a quick heads up about the Southbank Centre's London Literature Festival, packed with big names, starting on Thursday.

The big names? Well, there's Philip Pullman, Michael Morpurgo, Alexander McCall Smith, Iain Sinclair, Alan Hollinghurst, Zaha Hadid and Liz Lochhead. We'd very much like to draw your attention to events featuring Lisa Appignanesi and Hanif Kureishi, Nikesh Shukla, Ali Smith, Simon Armitage, Helen Oyeyemi and Poejazzi.

There's also a production of Jeanette Winterson's Sexing the Cherry, the Polari First Book Prize, a Lion and Unicorn homage poetry workshop and a creative writing workshop.

There's clearly a lot of stuff going on so it's probably just as well the Southbank Centre are offering a discount system if you book multiple events, from 15% on two to 30% off on five or more.

The London Literature Festival runs 30th June - 14th July at the Southbank Centre. Various ticket prices, some free events.
