The new Westfield shopping centre near Stratford is approaching completion, bigger and bolder than its Shepherd's Bush predecessor (comparisons to the second Death Star from Return of the Jedi probably not welcome).
Westfield Stratford City, as it's branded, opens on 13 September, supposedly the largest urban shopping centre in Europe. A friendly PR for the project sends us these before-and-after shots of the development, which show the magnitude of the site and neighbouring Athletes Village. We're hoping to get down on the ground for a snoop around very soon.
