Mace, the construction firm behind the Shard, has uploaded an aerial video showcasing the nascent Southwark skyscraper.
The video was shot in late March, and is best watched with the sound muted (the bombastic music and portentous tracking shots make it look like a rejected scene from a Christopher Nolan film). It once again emphasises the tower's dramatic profile on London's skyline, a point made more forcefully by the fact that (as one commenter notes) it has been edited to avoid shots of other City skyscrapers. Well, they can't be giving out free publicity to rival developers.
